The Canniepairt, Tayport is the home of the famous Tayport Car Boot Sales.  The Car Boot Sales, which are held every second Sunday from April through to September, are popular with visitors and locals alike and have been featured on TV.

If you are attending a sale, whether as a seller or browser, then there are some things you should note

Directions

The Car Boot Sales are held on the football ground which is situated in Shanwell Road, Tayport. Satnav DD69DX

Whether travelling from North, South or West you should follow the signs for the Tay Road Bridge from where Tayport is well signposted (2 miles from the bridge south access)

If coming from the Cupar and St Andrews direction, Tayport is signposted from the St Michaels crossroads

In Tayport follow yellow signs that indicate "football traffic", taking the third exit at the mini roundabout beside newsagent

Travelling by Bus

Couldn't be easier.  The Stagecoach service number 96 (Dundee/St Andrews/Dundee) and number 42 (Dundee/Cupar/Dundee) bus stops are adjacent to the Car Boot Sale site.  Travelling time - Dundee 10 minutes, St Andrews 30 minutes and Cupar 20 minutes

Parking

Visitors Parking on site is £1

There is also a free car park

Strictly no dogs allowed on site.  Please leave your dog at home or ensure the car window is left open and water is available for your pet

Police strictly control on-street parking and will issue parking tickets to cars parked on double yellow lines

Sellers

09.30 am - 3.00 pm but come early, in mid season we could be full

No pre-booking

Strictly no traders allowed

No tombolas

No food vendors

£11 for a car, £21 for a larger van or car + trailer

Pay on entry

Please leave your site tidy

Any person suspected of selling illegal or counterfeit goods will be asked to leave and the Police will be called
