Tayport manager Willie Garner has called on the Port Support to give them their full backing in Saturday's Emirates Scottish Cup tie against old foes Lochee United.

"Even although it is another away tie in the Scottish Cup - our fourth in the five rounds we will have played - I am sure our fans are looking forward to the tie at Thomson Park, and will again turn out in good numbers" he said

Asked if he had a special message for the fans, Willie had this to say...

"Your continued support is vital and the players really appreciate the effort made to get to these away games. You have had a great presence at the previous three away games and I would urge you to get to Lochee on Saturday, for what promises to be a very interesting cup tie, and give us your support"

As Tayport did things the hard way at The Canniepairt, next week's Emirates Scottish Cup Quarter Final opponents Lochee United blamed poor defending on their 5-3 defeat at Kelty.

Linlithgow Rose joined the teams in the last 8 of the competition with a 5-0 victory over Whitletts. Rutherglen Glencairn progressed to the fifth round with a 2-1 replay win against Cambslang Rangers.

In the East Bukta Teamwear.com Premier League Forfar West End were held to a goal-less draw by St. Andrews, whilst bottom club Montrose impressed with a fine 4-1 victory over Fauldhouse, who have now lost 7 goals in their last two games. Watson was the hero for the Angus side, hitting a hat-trick.

Tayport have drawn Lochee United away in the Quarter Finals of the Emirates Scottish Cup. The tie will be played on Saturday 13th March 2010 at Thomson Park, Dundee.

The teams last met in the competition in the final at Tannadice Park in 2005, when famously Tayport lifted the trophy for the third time after a 2-0 victory.

In the other ties, Bathgate were drawn at home to the winner of Whitletts/Linlithgow, Largs Thistle will travel to meet either Irvine Medow/Cambuslang/Rutherglen Glencairn, and last season's beaten finalists Clydebank will host either Hill O'Beath or Shotts.

The draw for the quarter finals of the Emirates Junior Cup will take place on Real Radio on the Ewan Cameron/Alan Rough show this Friday evening, 5 March 2010. The show goes out between 6pm and 8pm.

The exact time of the draw is yet to be announced.

With Station Park still likely to be unplayable come the weekend, this Saturday's East of Scotland Cup tie against Livingston United has been switched to Tayport.

Kick-off at The Canniepairt 2.30pm.
