This Saturday's (31st July) match against an Aberdeen XI will kick-off at 2.00pm

29/07/2010 - John McKelvie Signs up

Well not really!!! but John McKelvie, a renowned after dinner speaker, has agreed to appear at our next Footballers Supper in the Bell Rock Tavern on SATURDAY 11TH SEPTEMBER.  Tickets are priced at only £22.  Come along and enjoy the night.

As well as his notoriety (apologies to John if this is not the right word) on the after dinner speaker circuit John has personal connections with Tayport Football Club.  In 1977 he was a player in the Parkside team that progressed in the Scottish Amateur Cup at the expense of Tayport following a three match contest which included two matches at their quagmire.  Today's players/supporters would not understand why any matches were ever played on the Parkside pitch! John was also the Police Match Commander at Fir Park when Tayport won the Scottish Junior Cup for the first time.

The accolades for John are immeasurable.  For further information visit his website at www.johnmckelvie.com

More importantly be there on the night! Contact any committee member and/or e-mail matt@tayportfc.org
