Whitton Park, Arbroath Road
|Half time score:||1-0|
|Full time score:||3-0|
Tayport's first visit to the new artificial playing surface at Whitton Park ended in defeat and leaves 'Port entrenched in the unaccustomed position of bottom of the league.
Broty had the better of the first half and desevedly led at the break through Marc Scott who finished well from Ryan Ferguson's pass in 17 minutes. Tayport, missing the suspended trio of Robertson, Gill and Rollo, had keeper Jake Shaw and some inept finishing from Broty to thank for keeping their hopes alive.
The second half was a different story with the visitors well in contention until 73 minutes when a twist of fate led to a second Broty goal. Young Tayport loanee Ryan Bell was through on goal only to be controversially called offside. The ball was transferred to the other end when Scott collected a low ball from the right to give Shaw no chance with a fierce drive.
Bryan Duell's free kick with ten minutes left made it 3-0 to put the icing on the cake for the home side
