Another game and another three points for Tayport today as they took on East Craigie away from home. A fixture that was always going to be tough for the Tayport side, with both teams on winning form. The first goal from Tayport came 24 minutes into the first half as Dayle Robertson managed to take the ball round the keeper and smash it home. The second Tayport goal came shortly after, this time from Jamie McCabe after Robertson’s shot was saved by the keeper, McCabe managed to finish with the rebound. A few chances for both sides in the next forty-five, with Craigie the first of the two sides to find the back of the net in the second half , with a little under 20 minutes left to play. Tayport didn’t stay down for long and Robertson managed to find the third and finish the game off in the 89th minute of play. Another three points and another excellent performance from Tayport as we head into the festive break.
After the game manager Chris Macpherson was asked to name his man of the match but said he couldn’t pick one individual as every player was brilliant this afternoon and said he couldn’t be prouder of the players.
