In Memoriam - Kenny Jones

Kenny Jones

We were saddened to learn of the death of one of our former players Kenny Jones (58). 

Kenny, well remembered at The Canniepairt, was signed from Arbroath FC by manager Andy Sommerville in August 1999. 

In his two seasons at Tayport FC, 1999-2001, central defender Kenny was practically an ever present, making 79 competitive appearances, scoring 9 goals. 

It is testimony to Kenny’s defensive skills that of the 79 games in which Kenny played during these two seasons, Tayport lost only six, three by 0-1, two by 1-2 and one by 1-3, an unbeaten percentage of some 95%.
