Sporting Memories group

We are extremely excited to announce that we have joined up with the Sporting Memories Foundation.

Sporting Memories are dedicated to bringing together adults to talk about and remember sport. They provide social and physical activities, too. There are over 120 Sporting Memories Clubs across the UK.

We are partnering with Sporting Memories to launch a new group in the local area, with the group meeting for the first time via Zoom on Tuesday 16th February (10.30am - 12pm). The group is for any adult who loves to talk about sport, share their favourite stories and memories, and get competitive with a quiz or two!

Usually, Sporting Memories run their sessions in the community for adults who love to share their love of sport over a cuppa, however due to COVID they have moved their weekly sessions online. Each session runs for about an hour and a half and it's always packed with lively banter, fascinating memories, games and quizzes and they even fit in a bit of exercise. They like to invite special guests to share their memories from time to time and they always welcome anyone who would like to join them on a weekly basis. With many of us spending a lot of time at home a Sporting Memories session provides a bit of light-hearted relief to some challenging times.

If you would like to find out more about the group in Tayport and how to get involved please get in touch with Gary Waddell who is the local Project Coordinator for Fife - gary@thesmf.co.uk / 07941 12327.

Please do spread the word about the Tayport FC Sporting Memories group and the first meeting on Tuesday 16th February.
